Occasionally we’re prone to take the time to rework the audio on other peoples projects, especially one we like the look of. It’s an opportunity for us to work on projects that we feel give us a better chance to showcase our skills and try out new techniques without the pressures associated with hitting deadlines or working to briefs.

Here’s a commercial for Miller Lite from 2007 entitled “Break from the Crowd” that we thought was ripe for an audio make-over. It’s a great piece of work, and we love the cinematic quality of the piece. We hope the original creators wont mind us giving it some audio treatment. The Christmas eMobile TV ad continues the theme of the launch advertising, which introduces us to members of the eMobile team. Sound design & original theme by us.

Darklight is one of Ireland’s leading independent film festivals. It provides the opportunity for artists and filmmakers to showcase their work as well as providing a platform from which to nurture discussion on the subject of film and it’s related industries. We were delighted to be asked to sound design their ident for this years festival. Animation was done by the guys at Pirhana Bar..

Congratulations to Kavaleer who’ve taken home 2 Digital Media Awards for the animated short ‘Hasan Everywhere‘. The short will be playing the festivals this year so keep an eye out.

The film details the friendship between an Israeli novelist (Dorit Rabinyan) and a Palestinian artist (Hasan Hourani) from their first meeting in New York in the winter of 2002 to 6th August 2003, when Hasan tragically drowned near the Port of Jaffa.

The Sound Butlers were commissioned to score, sound design & mix the audio for the film.

Just over one year ago, we were asked by Brown Bag to do sound design for an animated short, Granny O’Grimm. This was our first official job as The Sound Butlers. Now the film has just been nominated for an oscar! Massive congratulations again to all at Brown Bag!
